Riga Airport (Latvia) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Association of Ukrainian Civil Aviation Airports to support the recovery of Ukraine’s airport sector once the war ends. The agreement focuses on staff training, professional development, knowledge exchange and guidance for Ukrainian airfields seeking certification under European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. Riga Airport, which achieved EASA airfield certification in 2018, will share its expertise through its accredited RIX Academy training centre, operated under Airports Council International.
As part of the visit, the Ukrainian delegation reviewed Riga Airport’s operations and Latvia’s wider aviation system, also participating in the Riga Aviation Forum. #1252.MGT1
