Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), the state-backed agency spearheading Poland’s flagship transport infrastructure initiative, has opened a tender to appoint a general contract engineer for the construction of its new central airport.
Expected to cost approximately PLN 131bn (£26.7bn), the CPK airport is intended to become a major international aviation and transport hub, with operations scheduled to commence in 2032.
The selected contractor will act as both project management consultant and construction manager, responsible for overseeing the entire airport construction process. This role involves coordinating complex design and construction contracts, planning, scheduling and ensuring that the project meets its timeline, budget and quality objectives.
