Airport boss expects opposition to legislation to tackle airport cap
Planning delays have already cost the DAA an estimated €500m over the last four years due to inflation in construction costs as it awaits decisions for projects at Dublin Airport, according to chief executive Kenny Jacobs.
He said about €300m is due to inflationary costs associated with a €2.3bn infrastructure plan being assessed by Fingal County Council, which is currently expected to cost €2.6bn.
He claimed that additional planning delays have contributed more than €200m in extra costs for other projects.
