Pascall+Watson has been collaborating with Gatwick Airport on a diverse range of projects, as part of the airport’s £2.7bn programme of investment.

The Pier 6 Programme will see the airport extending the existing pier to accommodate record-breaking growth, drive continued operational efficiency and improve the passenger experience. We are providing airport planning, passenger flow modelling and multi-disciplinary design services for this £180m extension and its associated projects, which includes moving the A380 stand from Pier 6 to a new location at Pier 5.

As part of our appointment to the airport’s new Framework we are involved in other enhancement and improvement projects at Gatwick. We are working with the airport to design a ‘Sensory Room’ as part of the airport’s focus on those with disabilities, an airline lounge development, airline office accommodation, and engineering and baggage system upgrades.

These developments build on our ongoing relationship with Gatwick Airport, which started in 1957, when we designed the Transair hanger – the first ever Pascall+Watson project!
