We are proud to introduce the Heathrow SME Academy, a new initiative designed to strengthen and diversify Heathrow’s supply chain by helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) build the capabilities needed to collaborate successfully with large buyers like Heathrow.
The SME Academy is part of our ongoing commitment to a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient supply chain. The programme offers a mix of in-person and virtual workshops to support SMEs in building practical knowledge and capabilities. It focuses on key areas aligned with Heathrow’s minimum procurement requirements (essential workshop), including carbon reporting, health and safety, cyber and data protection, insurance, and responsible business foundations.
It also offers general business support and other values-based trainings, delivered with the support of external partners.
In addition, SMEs completed essential workshop will have the opportunity to apply for free 1-2-1 mentor support. All our volunteer mentors are senior leaders and experts from our supply chain.
To mark the launch, we’re delighted to announce that our very first SME Academy workshop will be held in July at Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy. For more details for the SME Academy overview and the inaugural workshop, please see brochure.
