Skills Development Fund investment will help train hundreds of workers for in-demand jobs
The Ontario government is investing $2 million through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Stream to support the Pearson Works training project at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This investment will help recruit, train and upskill 450 workers for in-demand jobs in hospitality, ramp and baggage handling, safety and security, general labour and customer service, with direct connections to employers to support clear pathways to employment.
“Our government’s $2.5 billion investment in skills development is helping Ontario workers, including the hard-working employees at Toronto Pearson, stand up to the impact of tariffs and economic uncertainty,” said Premier Doug Ford. “Our government is helping these workers get the training they need to succeed and support the airport’s ongoing expansion.”
