The Office National des Aeroports (ONDA) in Morocco has unveiled its highly anticipated Airports 2030 strategy. The initiative is aimed at modernising the nation’s airport infrastructure and elevating the passenger experience to international standards.
With a clear vision for the next five years, ONDA’s plan seeks to position Morocco’s airports as global hubs, bolstering the country’s aviation sector and supporting its broader economic and tourism goals. In collaboration with key agencies such as the Royal Gendarmerie, Customs Administration, and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, ONDA wants to develop a network of airports that are well-connected, efficient, and attractive, aligning with Morocco’s economic ambitions and preparing the country to host major events like the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The Airports 2030 strategy also complements the ambitious growth targets of the country’s flag-carrying airline, Royal Air Maroc. Last year, the airline announced plans to doubling its fleet by 2030 and quadruple it by 2037, reflecting the airline’s impressive current double-digit growth.
