In conjunction with ICON, MSD has been awarded the signage and wayfinding design package for the redevelopment of Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro. It will see its capacity expanded from 15 million to 70 million passengers per year.
The works will involve a fundamental redesign of the branding and signage products and wayfinding planning, from concept design stage through to construction tendering.
After MSD completed an initial airport wayfinding review in 2014 prior to the World Cup, the completion of these further works will coincide with preparations for the Rio Olympics in 2016.
