The Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) is embarking on a significant initiative to support the growth of the country’s aviation sector. According to the report on public institutions and enterprises (EEP) annexed to next year’s Draft Finance Law, ONDA has outlined a major investment program of 12.3 billion dirhams ($1.24 billion) for the 2025-2027 period. This investment aims to meet rising air travel demand and enhance the capacity of the Kingdom’s airport infrastructure.
ONDA’s investment will not only support Morocco’s thriving tourism sector but also facilitate the expansion of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), whose ambitious growth plans require greater airport capacity. The program’s key priorities will include extensions and renovations of major airports, such as Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, Marrakech, Agadir, Tetouan, Tangier, Fes, and Al Hoceima. These upgrades aim to accommodate a growing number of visitors and improve passenger experience in a competitive regional landscape.
