Jeddah Airports Company has outlined six construction packages as it advances a $31 billion expansion of King Abdulaziz International Airport.
Jeddah Airports Company has outlined six major construction packages for King Abdulaziz International Airport, moving a 115 billion riyal ($31 billion) expansion programme into its next phase as it targets capacity of 114 million passengers a year.
The packages will come to market between 2026 and 2028 and cover new and upgraded terminal facilities, airfield rehabilitation, fuel infrastructure and a multi-year programme of construction works across the airport, according to MEED.
Airfield rehabilitation is expected to be the first package to come to market in the third quarter of 2026, followed later in the year by a five-year framework covering construction work across multiple airport facilities.
Further packages are planned from 2027, including the development of additional terminal capacity, upgrades to existing passenger facilities and expansion of the airport’s fuel infrastructure. Another package covering new passenger concourse facilities is expected to follow in 2028...
