Work is expected to wrap on the $1.3 billion project to replace the passenger terminal at Hollywood Burbank Airport by next year.
The long-awaited $1.3 billion replacement terminal at Hollywood Burbank Airport has taken shape across the runway from the existing 95-year-old terminal. The 335,000-square-foot facility will have 14 gates, the same as the current terminal, but it will have the latest in seismic safety protections and energy efficiency measures. The new terminal’s outer structure was completed earlier this year, and it’s now set to open next October.
The old building will be torn down once the new terminal opens.
