The results come a day after campaigners against Heathrow’s expansion plans were given the go-ahead to challenge a High Court ruling over the government's decision to back a planned third runway
With a record 38.8mln passengers passing through the airport in the six months to end-June, revenue rose 4% to £1.4bn, with retail revenue per passenger up 1.5% to £8.62.
