Grimshaw was recently appointed with Mott MacDonald to shape a vision and develop a future master plan for Heathrow's Central Terminal Area (CTA). The now-completed architectural vision foccusses on the transformation of the existing CTA into a modern, high quality campus that is recognisably Heathrow; well organised, visually coherent and intuitive to navigate. At the core of the project is a public transport interchange enhanced by nearby hotels and high-quality retail spaces. An engaging public realm will connect these facilities and will include an outdoor recreation space: 'Heathrow Park'.
Grimshaw's holistic vision integrates recent investments and sets the principles for future development in the CTA.
