London Gatwick Airport has announced the selection of 16 specialised design consultants to aid in its capital investment programme.
Aimed at enhancing the airport’s capacity, efficiency, and overall passenger experience, the refreshment of the Design Services Framework comes as Gatwick continues to expand amid increasing passenger numbers.
The awarded contracts on the Design Services Framework span five categories and it has aimed to name companies in local or regional proximity. The details and appointees are:
- Large Multi-Disciplinary: Arcadis (regional), AtkinsRéalis (regional), Baker Hicks (regional), Jacobs UK, Ramboll, WSP UK (regional)
- Airfield: AtkinsRéalis, Jacobs UK, Ramboll, WSP UK
- Baggage: IDOM (regional), Principal Projx (local - trading and registered in Horsham), TYPSA, Vlogix
- Small and medium enterprise multi-disciplinary: Hulley & Kirkwood (regional), Lyndon Goode Architects, Pascall + Watson, Pellings LLP (regional), Pod Architects (regional), Webb Yates
- Fire engineering: Jacobs UK, WSP UK
