The purpose of my study is to investigate how inclusive and accessible employment in the aviation industry is from the perspective of differently abled individuals.

I am kindly asking if it would be possible to distribute my survey to any employees working at LHR who consider themselves as disabled or having a long-term condition.

For this study I have referred to the government’s definition of a disability under the Equality Act 2010. This is defined as  ‘a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities’.

The scope of this research is the UK aviation industry, so I have contacted all UK commercial airports, airlines, MRO’s, manufacturers etc. Any organisations that participate in this study will not be named in the dissertation. I will just state that various airports, airlines, manufacturers etc. from the UK have contributed to the study, meaning that LHR would not be mentioned in the dissertation.

I have attached a URL for the survey below. I would like to add that not all questions in the survey need to be answered, some will only appear depending on a participant’s response to the previous question.
