eJet International Limited is delighted to announce that it has completed its work at Keflavik International Airport to clean the Aviation Fuel hydrant system on behalf of the owner and airport operator, Isavia ohf.
Following problems of dirt contamination in the hydrant system over the past few years, dirt which may have been present since construction in the late 1980s, Isavia first contacted eJet at the end of 2015.
eJet staff made several visits to the airport, specifically to carry out a CCTV survey of the hydrant system internals at representative locations, and then to supervise the flushing of the entire hydrant system over the course of several nights when shut down from normal operations could be allowed.
In each case, eJet prepared detailed work procedures, which took full account of the safety issues involved. The flushing procedures were subjected to a full HAZOP (out over the course of one day and chaired by eJet), with all relevant stakeholders in attendance.
