Congratulations to Riyadh Airport on the opening of its new T1
The modernised and enlarged terminal at King Khalid International Airport offers increased capacity and promises an enhanced passenger experience. Egis was honoured to support this as the project management consultant, achieving over 8 million safe working hours, in a race against time to bring this advanced terminal to life. Egis Middle East & South Asia CEO Alaa AbuSiam was delighted to attend the inauguration ceremony in January. Next up, T2!

Emissions reduction
Two more Egis airports have been recognised for their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Bergerac Airport and Paris-Beauvais achieved level 3 and level 4 respectively in the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme run by ACI. This means that three-quarters of the airports in the Egis network are now ACA-accredited. Beauvais also recently welcomed Dan Air to its airlines, offering new connections with Romania.

TULIPS progress event
The "clean" energy transition was a key theme in the TULIPS Progress Event which took place in Turin last October. There, we met with partners and stakeholders and shared preliminary results of our demos on modelling, smart grids, innovative energy storage, hydrogen and electric infrastructure and - ground equipment. Congratulations to Hong Kong on its 3RS opening
Hong Kong has reached a remarkable milestone in its aviation history with the inauguration of the Three-Runway System (3RS) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). This groundbreaking development, supported by significant infrastructure advancements, features a new air traffic control tower equipped with an enhanced digital tower system and state-of-the-art CNS facilities. Egis, alongside its consortium partner ADPi, are immensely proud to have contributed to the success of this iconic project for the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department.

At the end of 2024, Egis signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Airbus ‘Protect’. The aim is to collaborate on delivering enhanced cybersecurity and risk management for large industrial customers with critical processes, namely air transport, rail, power generation and the automotive industry.

With 6 automated lines, Riyadh’s world-class metro was officially inaugurated on 27th November. Egis, as part of the Riyadh Metro Transit Consultants (RMTC) consortium, was responsible for supervising project management, design, and construction, delivering the network’s Blue, Red and Orange lines.
