VINCI Airports, concessionaire of six airports in the Dominican Republic since 2016 has seen its concession renewed by the Government of the Dominican Republic. This represents another 30-year extension.
This is more than positive news for VINCI Airports. Under the extended concession contract, which will run from 2030 to 2060, VINCI Airports will be responsible for financing, operating, maintaining, developing and upgrading the modernization of the airports.
An upfront payment of 775 million dollars will be made by VINCI affiliate in the country to the Dominican state. VINCI Airports plans to invest 830 million dollars (€755 M) in the airports’ infrastructure throughout the concession period.
