Colombia expects to complete the evaluation of the feasibility study for the PPP of Cartagena's new airport (CACI), in February 2026, a key development to strengthen the region’s air connectivity.
The initiative is valued at 6.55 trillion pesos (US$1.7bn). The project is a private initiative and its originator is Odinsa.

The new airport will be built in Bayunca, department of Bolívar, 24km from the historic center of Cartagena, with access via Vía al Mar and La Cordialidad. The project involves the construction of the new airport within a future citadel, which will integrate real estate, commercial, logistics, and residential spaces, in order to meet future passenger demand...
