Charlotte Douglas International Airport will pump more than $1 billion into adding 12 to 16 gates over the next seven years. This expansion kicks off the first phase after the $4 billion Destination CLT project finishes in 2027.
Jack Christine, the airport's chief infrastructure officer, unveiled the plans Thursday. He spoke to local tourism leaders about two connected projects that will reshape the airport's footprint.
