Airline executives are calling on Gatwick and NATS to overcome staffing issues at the UK's second-busiest airport to avoid further disruptions.

London Gatwick Airport experienced disruptions and delays last summer due to staffing issues in the control tower.

NATS, the UK's air traffic manager, stated that up to 30% of its control tower staff were unable to work last summer, leading to a decrease in the number of on-time flights departing from Gatwick.

EasyJet and British Airways, two of the major carriers operating at Gatwick, have expressed concern about the airport's performance and have reached out to NATS and Gatwick for reassurance of improved service levels.
