During the night of August 12 – 13 the new Brandenburg Airport successfully passed its “black building test”. This required a controlled power cut in the main terminal (T1) to check the safety power supply in the event of a power failure. In addition, Pier Nord, Pier Süd, the air traffic control tower, the northern runway’s lighting, various operations buildings and two fire stations were also tested.
