Risk Assessement of Routes (advocated by IATA) "Operators may need to consider classifying each route for the level of (low, medium or high) risk of exposure to Covid-19 infection in order to determine whether mitigations are required in relation to their services, including crew and passenger safety. Airlines should consider their own risk assessment processes and criteria in conjunction with any local regulatory recommendations or requirements". In most countires there are (at this stage) unlikely to be "local regulatory recommendations or requirements (to undertake route risk assessments)" and many airlines may not have a suitable existing risk assessment process. Guidance regarding measures that may be effective for reducing risk levels is not readily available although a range that is suitable for application to high-risk routes exist. Gates Aviation can provide expertise to assist those contemplating corporate travel in determining appropriate risk sensitive travel arrangements.
