The government’s push to modernize more than a dozen Family Island airports has entered its most aggressive phase yet, Deputy Director General of Tourism Dr. Kenneth Romer announced yesterday, calling the nationwide aviation overhaul a historic investment transforming travel and tourism.
The Family Islands Airport Renaissance encompasses 17 airports, with projects underway from the northernmost islands like Bimini and Great Harbor Key to the southern islands, including Maguana and Inagua.
