The multinational consultancy and engineering firm specialized in the aeronautical industry, airports and air transport has been selected to establish and oversee security of the airfield of the Alfonso Bonilla Aragon International Airport of Cali, one of the most important of the country, to be adapted to the Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) of ICAO.
The project includes determining compliance with the safety standards of the airfield in some areas (runways, taxiways, AGL and signals, etc.) and improvement measures and necessary adaptations.

AERTEC Solutions participates in this initiative as and independent consultancys firm, after being awarded by Aerocali, the entity in charge of the Cali Airport's management, in an open biddling process in competition with other international companies.

Malaga, 6 February 2015 - AERTEC Solutions, the multinational consultancy and engineering firm specialized in airports and aerospace industry, has been awarded a new consultancy project to monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations at the Alfonso Bonilla Aragon International Airport of Cali.
The company is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and determining the degree of compliance with international safety standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the airfield of this Colombian airport, one of the most important of the country. The work developed by AERTEC Solutions focuses on analyzing the characteristics and security settings of the airfield in various areas (runways, taxiways, signalling systems, pipe and drainage, etc.) as well as determining the measures of the improvement and the necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with these regulations adaptations.
AERTEC Solutions participates in this initiative as an independent consultancy firm, after being awarded by Aerocali, a private entity that manages the International Airport of Cali, in an open tender process in competition with other international companies.
The initiative is part of the process of renewal and adaptation of the Colombian airport facilities to the standards of safety and quality of ICAO.
The design "is very complex due to the diversity of activities comprising, especially because of the work must be performed while the Airport is operating. Moreover, following the works, the Airport will implement a new Safety Management System that will allow significantly improving the management of operations to efficiently manage its growing traffic." explains Carlos Berenguer, Airport Planning & Design Director of AERTEC Solutions.
