We’ve all been to those networking events where you’re stuck in a meeting room, awkwardly holding a canapé while wishing you could be outside enjoying the sun. But how often do we get the chance to step away from the boardroom and bond with colleagues in a completely different setting – on two wheels, no less? And better yet, do it all for charity.

That’s why ADS is delighted to launch our inaugural Charity Cycle, bringing together members from across the UK for an unforgettable six-day ride. Over the course of this event, 32 dedicated riders will swap their laptops for lycra, embarking on a 478 mile journey from Stirling to Farnborough.

This cycle will highlight the impressive capabilities of our members across the UK, with regional showcase events in Stirlingshire, Cumbria, and Oxfordshire.

The beneficiaries

For our Charity Cycle, we’ve teamed up with five incredible charities and STEM academies to support underrepresented groups across the UK. These beneficiaries are vital in supporting our past, present, and future workforce – from empowering the next generation of industry leaders to supporting members of the Armed Forces community. Through our partnership, we aim to shine a spotlight on the invaluable work they do throughout our industry. This summer, we’ll be hosting a series of events and activities to raise awareness and generate donations for the following beneficiaries:

  • Furness Education and Skills Partnership
  • Forces Wives Challenge
  • Motivez
  • The National Museum of the Royal Navy
  • SSAFA – The Armed Forces Charity

Our route

The Route will average approximately 90 miles each day including the following stages:

  • Stirlingshire
  • Cumbria
  • Barrow in Furness
  • Shropshire
  • Oxfordshire
  • Hampshire

This route has been carefully designed to highlight the social value and ESG achievements of ADS members. We are bringing together key stakeholders by partnering with charity and STEM academy beneficiaries that support underrepresented groups across the UK.

Want to join for just one stage? We’re inviting an additional 40 participants to join the core group of riders for the final push from Oxfordshire to Farnborough. This processional stage will cover approximately 45 miles.
