Some 450 workers will be recruited, trained and taught new skills in order to fill a wide range of in-demand positions at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga thanks, in part, to a $2 million boost from the Ontario government.
The need for more workers at Canada’s biggest and busiest airport is great, the province says, with more than 400 employers at Pearson requiring additional help “to remain competitive in the face of ongoing economic uncertainty.”
The growing demands of day-to-day airport operations coupled with Pearson’s ambitious expansion plans have added to the need for new and skilled workers.
