Port Polska has signed an agreement with Budimex for the redevelopment of the drainage system and construction of flood protection infrastructure at the site of the future airport. The contract, worth nearly PLN 71 million net, will prepare the site for the next stages of construction and, ultimately, provide drainage for rainwater from the airport, roads and railway lines, while enhancing flood protection across the entire investment area.
- The value of the contract with Budimex is PLN 70.9 million net.
- Approximately 6 km of new drainage channels and a dry flood retention basin with a capacity of approximately 160,000 m³ will be constructed.
- The new system will drain rainwater from the airport site, external roads and Port Polska railway lines.
- Construction works are scheduled to run from January 2027 to August 2028, with the occupancy permit expected to be obtained in September 2028...
