There's a version of the AI story that airports tell publicly, and a version they tell each other privately.
Publicly, it's dashboards, digital twins and predictive everything. Privately, it's a lot more uncertain: half-finished pilots, data that doesn't quite talk to itself, and a nagging sense that the technology has outpaced the organisation's ability to actually run it.
That gap is where the real decisions live, and most airports are making them by default rather than by design.
