AAI has completed the pre-feasibility study of three shortlisted sites for the second international airport.

While the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has completed the pre-feasibility study of three shortlisted sites for Bengaluru's second international airport, the Karnataka government is yet to submit a formal proposal to the Union government to take the project forward, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol has informed the Lok Sabha.

Responding to an unstarred question raised by Bengaluru Central MP P C Mohan, the Minister said that the pre-feasibility report had been sent to the State government. However, the Centre has not received any formal application under the Greenfield Airports Policy from either the Karnataka government or any airport developer...
