The Brazilian government will hold meetings next week with potential parties interested in taking over the concession contract for Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro.

The federal government plans to hold the auction for the concession of Galeão, the fourth busiest airport in Brazil, by March 2026.

"The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) will hold a Market Sounding event on November 18 and 19 for the assisted sale of Galeão International Airport (Rio de Janeiro), in partnership with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI) of the Presidency of the Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

"The event marks a new stage in the restructuring process of the terminal's concession, which seeks to guarantee the continuity of investments, the economic and financial balance of the contract, and the continuous modernization of the airport infrastructure," it highlighed...
