Schiphol Airport has announced that from March to June 2026 it will begin renewal works on portions of both taxiways A and B.

Work will take place during two periods before and after the May holiday in an aim to reduce potential impact on both the local community and potential travellers.

During the maintenance work, infrastructure both on and around the taxiways will also be upgraded, with improvements set to include the replacement of asphalt pavement (approximately 65,000 metres squared), improvement and expansion of rainwater drainage, restoration of the areas surrounding the taxiways, replacement of 32 kilometres of electrical cabling and renewal of taxiway lighting and signage.

All work is being carried out in close collaboration with construction company Heijmans, and will occur in two phases; with work taking place on taxiway B between 9 March and 12 April, and between 4 May and 26 June on taxiway A...
