In a race against time, London Luton Airport's team of contractors are resurfacing its runway each night.
The project, involving 120 people and 70 vehicles, began in November and is scheduled to finish in March.
The crew has five hours and 44 minutes each night to complete a stretch of the 1.3-mile (2.1km) runway, before flights resume in the mornings.
A total of 30,000 tonnes in asphalt will be used, which has been made at a facility on site...
