Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), a major player in airport operations across Latin America and the Caribbean, has entered into a purchase agreement with Motiva Infraestrutura de Mobilidade (Motiva) to acquire Companhia de Participações em Concessões (CPC), a fully owned subsidiary of Motiva.
This acquisition, valued at R$5,000 million (approximately US$936 million), positions ASUR as a more dominant force in the region’s airport sector.
The transaction is set to significantly expand ASUR’s footprint by adding 20 airports across Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Curaçao to its portfolio.
ASUR, which currently operates a vast network of airports in Mexico, Colombia, and Puerto Rico, will now extend its reach to include airports in Latin America’s largest aviation market—Brazil.
Under the terms of the agreement, ASUR will acquire all the outstanding equity interests in CPC.
The deal values CPC’s assets at an implied enterprise value of R$13,700 million (about US$2,566 million)...
