Denver International Airport’s planned C-West extension underscores its response to rapid passenger growth and rising airline demand.
Denver International Airport (DEN) has approved a major expansion of Concourse C as passenger demand continues to surge across the Rocky Mountain region. The project reflects the airport’s long-term strategy to scale capacity while enhancing the traveler experience at one of the busiest hubs in the United States.
Denver Airport plans to construct 11 additional aircraft gates alongside new passenger amenities, including an outdoor patio offering uninterrupted views of the Rocky Mountains. The development comes as airlines such as United Airlines (UA) and Southwest Airlines (WN) seek more space to support sustained network growth.
The expansion, known as the C-West extension, will add approximately 400,000 square feet to the western end of Concourse C, reported The Points Guy.
