Lucknow Airport Expansion
Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is set for a major expansion, with Adani Airports investing close to ₹10,000 crore. A brand-new terminal will double annual passenger handling from 8 million to 14 million by 2026–27. Airside upgrades include a parallel taxi track to increase aircraft movement to 24 flights per hour.
The headline move is the runway extension from 2,744 metres to 3,514 metres. This will allow wide-body aircraft such as Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s to operate directly from Lucknow.
