The House of Representatives will consider aviation safety legislation on Monday, addressing dozens of recommendations by the National Transportation Safety Board, which probed a January 2025 collision between an American Airlines (AAL.O), opens new tab regional jet and Army Black Hawk helicopter that killed 67 people.
The U.S. Senate passed legislation unanimously in December known as the ROTOR Act that would require aircraft operators by the end of 2031 to equip their fleets with a safety system known as automatic-dependent-surveillance-broadcast system, or ADS-B.
