Several construction projects and facility improvements are scheduled to progress at Tampa International Airport (TPA) during 2026, as the airport continues work to update its terminals and passenger systems.
One of the main developments is Airside D, a new 16-gate terminal designed to serve both international and domestic flights. The final design for the building is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Construction work to date has focused on site preparation, foundations and drainage, with structural steel installation planned to begin later in the year. The new airside is being built to the north-west of the main terminal.
