Tomorrow’s Engineers Week 2025: Dare to Discover
We’re excited to announce the theme for the 13th annual Tomorrow’s Engineers Week – Dare to Discover. Taking place from 10–14 November 2025, this year’s theme celebrates the importance of curiosity, experimentation, and learning through trial and error in engineering and technology.
Young people often feel pressure to get things right the first time, but real innovation rarely works that way. Dare to Discover will highlight stories of unexpected outcomes, creative problem-solving, and career journeys that didn’t follow a straight line. Through these stories, we’ll show students that mistakes are not failures, they're stepping stones.
Building on the success of last year’s campaign, which reached over 55,000 students across the UK, this year we’re aiming to engage even more young people aged 11–14.
We’re calling on engineers, employers, organisations, and professional institutions to get involved and help inspire the next generation. Join us in challenging outdated stereotypes, showcasing the diversity of the engineering landscape, and shining a light on the real stories that shape the sector.
Get Involved: Two Ways to Contribute
Share Your Story
We’re creating inspiring content for schools—and we need your help. We’re looking for:
- Stories of trial and error: When something didn’t go as planned, but led to a breakthrough or a valuable lesson.
- Career journeys with a twist: People who didn’t follow a traditional path into engineering and technology.
Stories will be featured as written or video content on the Tomorrow’s Engineers website and within our school resources.
Be a Panellist for Student Q&A
We’re hosting a virtual panel featuring professionals from across engineering and tech. You’ll help answer questions from students about careers in the industry.
- Questions will be collected in advance from schools across the UK.
- The panel will be available on the Tomorrow’s Engineers website and used in classrooms during the week.
