After a day of technical glitches, the computer system at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is up and running again.
The airport, which experienced a slowdown in operations on Tuesday (March 25), posted the good news on social media shortly after 10 p.m. last night.
According to airport management, connectivity problems on “several computer systems” were to blame for slowing down operations.
In a press release issued at 10:30 p.m. last night, the airport confirmed that an investigation was underway to determine the cause of “this widespread systems failure.”
It said a failed infrastructure network upgrade, planned in conjunction with Bell Canada is at the root of the outage.
