Skyguide Takes Proactive Step to Reduce Flight Approaches at Geneva Airport Amid Technical Setbacks

Switzerland travel is facing significant disruption as Skyguide, the country’s national air navigation service, has reduced the number of aircraft approaches at Geneva Airport by 20 percent due to persistent technical failures in radar image systems.

This precautionary measure aims to maintain the highest safety standards amid ongoing radar malfunctions that intermittently interrupt air traffic controllers’ visibility, leading to expected flight delays and operational adjustments until the issues are fully resolved.

In a decisive move to uphold safety standards, Skyguide—the Swiss national air navigation service—announced on Monday a temporary 20 percent cut in aircraft approaches at Geneva Airport.
