Kerry Airport has been allocated over €1.8 million in government support.

It’s part of almost €8 million in funding announced by Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien, under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025.

It says this will go towards the development and enhancement of security, runway remedial works and taxiway markings.

Other approved projects at the Farranfore airport include  -oversize baggage dual view Xray unit; baggage equipment and transport; and the purchase of new fully-electric Ground Power Unit (GPU).
