Southampton Airport has launched a dedicated AI powered digital assistant, to improve the travel experience for passengers ahead of the busy summer season.
Powered by Hello Lamp Post, the new AI-driven technology is live at the airport, and is designed to provide real-time information and enhance navigation throughout the terminal.
A trial of the airport digital assistant tech was held last year at sister airport Glasgow in partnership with Connected Places Catapult which focused on passengers requiring special assistance.
The trial showed that there was a 50% reduction in queries being received by customer service staff and 12,300+ more passengers were supported per year
