The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is set to receive a $15m federal grant through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to carry out various improvements.

The federal grant will be used for runway, safety, and other development projects included in Baton Rouge Airport’s Master Plan. The improvements will speed up the airport’s growth, while ensuring its economic sustainability in the long term.
