Airlines and airports should carry out the same level of checks on its own staff as the traveling public after a suspected Islamic State bomb destroyed a Metrojet A321 last year, according to U.K. Transport Minister Tariq Ahmad.
“We need to ensure that people really raise the standards,” he said in an interview in Singapore Tuesday. “Air travel is growing and with it the need to be more vigilant.”
