The Government supports expanding trade with Iran provided Iran adheres to its commitments agreed under the historic nuclear deal reached on 14 July, triggering sanctions relief. The Government is already helping the business and financial sector prepare to take advantage of the opportunities that are likely to arise, and promote trade and investment between our two countries. The Government will work to support those businesses who wish to take advantage of trade opportunities which are not the subject of sanctions, as and when they become available.
