Pascall+Watson are working with London City Airport to design and deliver the £500m City Airport Development Programme (CADP). Currently on site, the transformation scheme provides additional infrastructure and facilities to serve a forecast 6.5 million passengers a year by 2025.

As design team leaders, our scope includes the creation of the UK’s first digital air traffic control tower, eight new aircraft stands, new piers, a full-length parallel taxiway and a major extension of the existing terminal which will see it quadruple in size.

Take a look at this new fly-through video, developed by Atkins’ visualisation team, which offers a glimpse of the future for London’s most central airport.

Martin Neilan, Pascall+Watson’s CADP Project Director, said:

“Pascall+Watson are very proud to be responsible for delivering these distinctive terminal interiors, exemplifying the airport’s own unique position at the heart of London. The animation shows the public an experience unlike any other London airport and validates the hard work that has gone into both the exteriors and interiors of what should be a spectacular scheme”

Peter Adams, Chief Development Officer for London City Airport, said:

“We are building a new and impressive gateway for London in the heart of the Royal Docks, on the doorstep of the city and fast-changing East London boroughs. This new animation brings to life for the first time what customers can expect - be they international visitors to London, leisure city breakers or business travellers. London City Airport will offer an amazing modern airport experience while retaining the speed and efficiency that we know our passengers love”
