About this event

The ANIMA project partners are delighted to invite you to a hybrid event on aviation noise and environmental issues, with a specific focus on the countries of the EU Eastern Partnership. This will a be 2-days hybrid event which will take place on 30 September 2021 and 1st October 2021.

Since this will be a hybrid event, both virtual and physical presence are possible. The live event will be held in Yerevan, Marriott Hotel. The details for the digital participation will also be distributed closer to the event.

The ANIMA project is intended to empower airport operators to better address noise impacts and thereby enhance the quality of life of residents living near airports. The project has revealed considerable variation in noise management experience and capability across European airports and seeks to ‘level up’ performance through providing support to airports as they respond to the challenge of noise management. Through this event, engagement with airports representing a range of different sizes and experience will be fostered, specifically through knowledge transfer. Several case studies will be presented from various countries, such as the Netherlands, France, Germany, Romania, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. The Noise Platform, which is the ANIMA landmark deliverable, will also be showcased, allowing airports to discuss how best to exploit the best practice included on this platform and how to improve noise management in their unique context. It is hoped that such discussions will also support peer-to-peer learning and the development of airport networks to facilitate the exchange of effective practice and experience.
