Stansted Airport College, the UK's first on-site professional training and skills centre, has opened its doors to students.

Located on the airport's campus, the project is a collaborative partnership between Harlow College and Stansted Airport creating training opportunities in the regional community and supporting the airport’s ambitious plans for future growth.

The college provides traineeships and apprenticeships for over 500 students a year, with qualifications offered by Harlow College. Courses on offer have been selected to bridge the regional skills gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects as well as specific airport roles in aviation operations, aircraft engineering and hospitality.

Pascall+Watson worked closely with Harlow College and Stansted Airport to design and deliver the BREEAM rated facility over a challenging 20 month programme. Our expertise in the education and aviation sectors, combined with our long standing relationship with the airport, enabled the fast-track project to be successfully realised in time for the new academic year.
