We are seeking three experts to join the UK Research and Innovation Infrastructure Advisory Committee (IAC). The committee will support and advise UKRI’s Executive Committee on what is needed to develop our understanding of priorities across the UK research and innovation infrastructure landscape. Membership of the IAC is being drawn from existing, relevant expert committees across UKRI including Council’s Councils, together with these additional members.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applications from a diverse range of expertise, from across:

  • higher education
  • innovation and research organisations
  • industry and commerce
  • policy
  • civil society

We’re looking for members with broad experience of different research and innovation systems and in particular those with industrial or commercial backgrounds and/or with international experience of planning and delivering research and innovation infrastructure.

Selected members will have a strong interest or experience in research and innovation infrastructure planning or delivery, with both a deep expertise in their professional area and an ability to think strategically beyond their discipline, making connections across UKRI’s broad remit.

Full details of the call for members of the Infrastructure Advisory Committee.

Deadline for applications: 24 May 2020

What the Infrastructure Advisory Committee will do

In late 2019, UKRI published its Infrastructure Opportunities and Landscape Analysis reports, providing a detailed picture of the current research and innovation infrastructure landscape in the UK, together with an assessment of future needs, opportunities, and key themes as a strategic guide to inform investment decisions for the next generation of research and innovation infrastructure and build UK capability to 2030.

The Infrastructure Advisory Committee (IAC) will help inform these decisions.

Please note that the UKRI Infrastructure Fund is not an open call for proposals.
